MARCH 2023 STATUS UPDATE: Food cost is now well over $3,000/month and the orphanage volunteers and school teachers also need help for their families. And of course there is school curriculum and basic needs like shoes and clothing and toiletries we need in excess of food.
We are desperately in need of monthly donations for food due to inflation in 2023. Food prices have soared. Partner with us if you can. We were not able to dig the well in 2022, but we did receive enough donations to gutter the entire School and Orphanage and add new water tanks which has provided nearly all the water needed except for the drought season when the need to draw dirty river water continues. We spent the necessary $1000 to obtain the government well digging permit and site geological report for the water well at the school and orphanage. A water well will be a dream come true not only the children but the entire town of Itibo. A well will change everything! The children can spend more time learning, praising, and playing instead of walking a mile to get dirty water from the river. It will also sustain the orphanage as the community can come to buy the water. we need $15,000 to dig the well. Please help the children's dream come true!
